This 1984 Ferrari Mondial QV is a smart example of the marque’s mid-engined V8 2+2 grand tourer, presented with low mileage and in excellent overall condition. It is equipped with the 240bhp 3. 0-litre V8, with four valves per head (hence ‘Quattrovalvole’), coupled with a five-speed manual transmission.
First registered in September 1984, the odometer currently indicates 38, 741 miles.
The car’s bodywork presents well, and its paintwork is in generally good condition.
Inside, the cream leather is in good condition for its age and remains entirely original, though the vendor has reported a couple of minor imperfections, such as some expected light wear to the driver’s bolsters. The switchgear and centre console are in good condition, and all the electrics are believed to work as they should.
The last full service was undertaken in 1996 at 33, 320 miles, where technicians at a specialist Ferrari dealer carried out a standard service and check-over including a cam belt change. Prior to this, routine maintenance was carried out in 1990 by Nigel Mansell owned garage in Blandford at 28, 000 miles.
The vehicle includes an original Ferrari tool kit (minus 2 items), Blaupunkt 10 CD changer, original Ferrari first aid kit, electric sunroof and aerial, air-conditioning, original Ferrari emergency glove box light with pouch and puddle lights to name a few things.
This Ferrari Mondial QV is a good example of the mid-engined sports car, which presents well, and would now benefit from just some minor cosmetic attention in a few places. Flicking through the gears while revving out the naturally aspirated V8 in this Mondial QV delivers a characterful driving experience, and this example would be a great companion for sunny weekends or road trips.
