Blackline at the NEC!

The NEC Classic Car Show 2022 was an amazing time capsule that transported visitors to a bygone era of automotive craftsmanship, innovation, and sheer beauty. Held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK, this event showcases a dazzling array of classic cars that ignites nostalgia and passion among enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. From meticulously restored vintage vehicles to rare collector’s items, the show was a celebration of automotive history that left attendees in awe.

2022 was our first professional classic car show. As a growing company this was in particular the one we had always wanted to showcase our skills and craftmanship at.

We presented spectacular five vehicles.

1977 Jaguar Series 2 E-Type Drop Head Coupe

This most stunning E-Type has to be seen to be believed. We achieved an incredible build to the highest and most exacting standards possible. With glass flat paint and the door gaps millimetre perfect the car is a work of art. Original specification, with the addition of upgraded wheels gives the car a magnificent stance.

During the nut and bolt mechanical and cosmetic restoration very few body panels were required, in many ways she is also a very original car.

The interior has been hand crafted from the very finest leather and materials to the original styling. Mechanically to original spec with few minor upgrades such as taller diff, improved alloy radiator, high torque starter motor and upgraded suspension.

1972 Jaguar Series 3 V12 E-Type Roadster

Only 39,000 miles from new. Manual 4 speed gearbox. It’s rare to find an unrestored E-Type in such beautiful condition.

She is an original matching numbers car that also enjoys all her original Jaguar panels. This E-Type has been lavished with a stunning repaint six years ago and a high-quality re-trim with mohair hood and hood cover. She is stunning today with her gleaming Sable paintwork and matching tan leather interior.  All set off beautifully with stainless steel wire wheels and new tyres.

She’s running beautifully having just had a complete carburettor rebuild. New stainless-steel exhaust, new water pump, aluminium radiator and thorough service. Absolutely ready for touring or any classic car show.

1977 Maserati Merak SS

This absolutely stunning matching numbers, low mileage 1977 Maserati Merak SS is one of just 787 examples of the SS variant and even rarer right hand drive. Today, they’re highly sought after due to the extra performance they offer, designed to compete with the likes of the Porsche 911, Ferrari Dino 308 GT4. The Merak provides a unique alternative from this era, the Maserati being far less common.

Styled by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro, and it’s powered by a long-lived V6 designed by the legendary Giulio Alfieri. Having been held for years in a private Hong Kong collection this car has uniquely survived in rust free condition with the her original leather interior.

The car today must be the best and most original example available having only covered 28,000 miles Although in superb condition the car was refreshed with a bare metal respray by us.

1961 Jaguar XK150 SE Coupe Auto

This stunning XK150 SE is documented as the last ever XK to be produced by Jaguar in Coventry

Manufactured in 1961 as Jaguar rolled out the all-new E-Type. Offered New for sale in the United Kingdom, failing to sell she was then shipped new to New York. Only to be returned to the Jaguar factory and return to right hand drive. Then sold in London to the first long term owner.

606CXW survived the next 60 years rust free, only covering 80,000 miles. Although purchased as a usable classic a change of heart lavished her with a full nut and bolt sympathetic rebuild.

She now sits gleaming with show quality paint, perfect panel gaps and all original panels, floors and chassis. Absolutely no welding was required So not only the last ever XK150 but arguably the most original. We think we have managed to create what is arguably the finest jaguar XKE 150 in existence.
